Fast Track:
Now that we are charged, we are ready to move juice to the motor. This is done by rounting the high voltage + and - cables to the contactor via PFC pipes under the car. The contactor will regulate the flow of electricity to the inverter and then to the motor. We see these components on the next page.
The Details:
The front of Maggie, under the bonnet is busy and the result of a signifant amount of planning. We are interested int the box a the upper left of this picture, the "Contactor Box".
The HV cable on the left is the negative cable from the battery box. On the right the large HV cable is the positive connection from the battery box. Also in that upper right connection is the smaller HV line coming from the charger we discussed earlier.
